Our Pastor

Sundra Escott-Russell is the current pastor of Israel Missionary Community Church (IMCC).

IMCC was founded in 1981 by Rev. Wedzell And Ruth Escott.  Pastor Sundra picked up the ministry mantel after the passing of her Father, Rev. Wedzell Escott, Sr. and her Brother Rev. Michael Escott.  The Father and Son Pastors passed away, a year apart in 2009 and 2010.

Pastor Sundra, the Escott Family, and Israel Missionary Community Church decided to keep the church doors open and to complete Pastor Wedzell Escott’s Vision.  Pastor Sundra Graduated

From Alabama State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree and obtained her Master of Public Administration from Strayer University.

Pastor Sundra has extensive background in public service.  She has spent over 20 years in the Alabama State House of Representatives and the Alabama State  Senate.  She was the first Black Women elected the Alabama Senate, where she chaired State Committees for Senior Citizens and Youth Affairs.

Pastor Escott-Russell has a servant heart and is excited to help complete the vision of her father.  She is the proud mother of one son David Aaron and Grandmother to Sumia Bailey. Pastor Escott-Russell’s mission is to save souls and teach the word of God.
